This project involves the design and construction of approximately six miles of the I-94 freeway, between Pelham Road and Wyoming Avenue, in Wayne County, Michigan. The I-94 freeway is one of the busiest freeways in Michigan, connecting the major cities of Detroit and Chicago, and the project section is a high visibility portion from the international airport to downtown. The project involves reconstruction of 20 bridge structures, as well as I-94 eastbound and westbound lanes, ramps, drainage work, signing, lighting, concrete barrier wall, valley gutter, patching and diamond grinding. Construction cost: $75 million.
