SOMAT V.P. JAY SHAH APPOINTED TO GOVERNOR'S BOARD Press Release: September 2008 Jay Shah, P.E., Vice President of Corporate Development at Somat Engineering, was recently appointed on the State Hospital Finance Authority by Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm. The Michigan State Hospital Finance Authority issues bonds and make loans to hospitals, nursing homes, homes for the aged, hospices and certain retirement housing providers to finance and refinance the acquisition, construction, improvement or alteration of hospital facilities. MSHFA has completed over 300 bond issues for over $14 billion, providing over 500 loans to Michigan's healthcare providers.
