ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER JOINS THE SOMAT TEAM

Somat
is pleased to welcome Duncan Mein, P.E. as Environmental Manager, leading
our Environmental Engineering efforts.
Mr. Mein is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan with 23 years of engineering and geotechnical experience.
His experience includes: environmental engineering involving environmental site assessments, BEAs, soil and water sample collection and field analysis, hydrogeological investigation, remediation/cleanup, environmental decommissioning, storage tank management, brownfield redevelopment, asbestos surveys, soil gas surveys
and geophysical surveys. Additional experience includes
building foundation installation, soils laboratory experience and corrosion soil properties analyses for geotechnical engineering.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering and a Teaching Certificate in Earth Science / Mathematics from Michigan Technological University, Houghton, MI.
Mr. Mein’s expertise will enhance the firm’s engineering capabilities in providing environmental engineering consulting in the areas of environmental due diligence, brownfield redevelopment, storage tank management, water and air pollution, waste disposal, hazardous waste management, remediation and environmental impact studies, as well as
aiding in MDEQ and federal regulatory requirements.
