SRA Selects Somat Engineering, Inc. for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Information Technology Solutions - Business Information Strategic Support II Contract (ITS-BISS II) Washington, DC - February 7, 2011 - Somat Engineering, Inc. (Somat), an award winning technical services firm, serving both the public and private sector, announced today that it is a subcontractor for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Information Technology Solutions - Business Information Strategic Support II (ITS-BISS II) contract just awarded to prime contractor SRA International, Inc. (SRA). The multiple-award blanket purchase agreement has a term of five years with a maximum value to the SRA team of $99.7 million. ITS-BISS II was developed and awarded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Environmental Information (OEI) to support the agency's information technology (IT) and information management (IM) missions with a full range of advisory and assistance services, including policy, planning and program management support, services and solutions. Responsibilities for the SRA team under the contract include maintaining or enhancing IT/IM planning, investment management, security and federal enterprise architecture, by providing both technical and management expertise to the EPA's various national and regional programs and offices.
